Privacy
The site collects as little as possible. Reading it, and using its tools, leaves no personal data behind.
In short
- No cookies, no analytics, no ads and no third-party scripts.
- The subtitle checker runs in your browser: your file is never uploaded.
- If you send subtitles, only what you type into the form is stored.

Reading the site
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. Fonts and scripts are served from this site, so no other company learns that you visited. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes connection data to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
Your choices of theme and text size are saved in your own browser (local storage) and never sent anywhere.
The tools
The subtitle checker, the converter for old fonts and the name romanizer run entirely in your browser. Files you open in them stay on your device.
Sending subtitles
When you send a file, the site stores:
- the subtitle file and the film details you entered
- your credit name, if you give one: it is published with the file
- your email, if you give one: used only for questions about this file
- your notes, and the date
Your IP address is used only to limit how many files can be sent in a minute, and is not stored. Email addresses are deleted automatically after 6 months, and everything else you sent after 12 months. Published subtitles and their credit names stay on the site.
Messages to translation@foundation.ge are read by the project's volunteers and used only to answer you.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete anything you sent, or to have your credit name removed: write to translation@foundation.ge.
